One of my favorite things about Downtown New Port Richey is that sometimes the best experiences aren't the ones you plan.
Recently, I stopped into Main Street Deli for lunch. Located right in the heart of Downtown New Port Richey, this locally owned deli has quickly become a welcome addition to our growing downtown food scene. I walked in expecting a good sandwich. I walked out remembering exactly why I love living in a place where people vacation.
I ordered a toasted pastrami sandwich, complete with a pickle and a bag of chips. The kind of lunch that feels simple, classic, and satisfying. My original plan was to sit inside and enjoy it there, but as I stepped back outside, something else caught my attention.

Instead of heading back to work, I made the short walk down to the waterfront, found a shady spot, and settled in for lunch with a breeze coming off the water.
